The pup crawled out of the pup hollow. He was going to see the smartest wolf in the tree for tips on training. HowlTooth taught the trainers everything they know, so they could place the pups in groups tat included hunting, navigating,tracking,howling,blacksmithing, and,in case the worst came to the wolves of their King Trees In the Emerald Forest of Wolfania, Warrioring.”howltooth,”said General. “Ah, hello,”replied Howltooth. “Come here for some training tips, I suppose?”

“Y-yes.”

“Well, nothing to worry about.”

But you'll know everything, and I wanna be in the Hunting group...”

“I smell blood on you. Have you been killing mice again?”

“Well, yes. But no matter. Teach me to hunt!”

“OK, OJ,” she said, keeping her eye fixed on his talons. He was half-eagle, so his fellow pups' little sneak attacks didn't work. Nor did the babysitters' attempts to catch him, he was too fast on his wings!

“Sheesh,” said General later, around Highest Sun. “Do we really have to train in all this?” General had done everything, and by now, his hopes had washed away... He was lousy at hunting. Empress raised her paw. “Can we practice combat?” “now,” said the trainer,”Why would we need combat? Dark Pack has sworn not to fight after their, shall we say, clobber at the Battle of the Lightning Teeth.” Sargent raised his paw and said, “But I've been watching Dark Pack from my mother's hollow. They've been assembling an army, made of their pups and Thunder Clan's pups. They're been firing 'stray' arrows at our hollow.” “Fine,” said the trainer, “If they're making an army, we need strong warriors. Strong warriors to trick them into not fighting back."

General hung his head as he marched back to his hollow, while his brother, King, and his sister, Blooming, had their jaws dropped! “Gen, you there? WAKE UP,” Said King. Blooming added, “Yeah, bro, you've become a Warrior in your first day.” General ignored it and watched from his hollow window seeing so many warriors being tested by the Dark Pack.
